University of West England Sports Facility

​The Project was for the creation of a New Elite Sports Facility for the University of West England.

AJ Morris Limited's works included: -
• Undertake a desk top study of the proposed design to ascertain the quantities involved and to develop the most efficient Earthworks strategy.
• Remove topsoil from the works areas including car parks, access roads, buildings and new pitches. The topsoil was removed and stored so as to remain maximum integrity of the soil structure upon re-use.
• Carry out the cut/fill to the required areas utilising GPS machine control for optimum accuracy.
• Creation of environmentally sympathetic landscape bund to provide both visual and acoustic enhancement of the site
• Resoiling to the natural pitches and surrounding areas to a specification required by the landscape contractor.
• On-going variations during the works were managed by constant communication with the client which meant the minimum of disruption to the programme
